Overview
About the role
You'll provide structured, platonic physical support alongside members who are working or decompressing—a grounded presence, clear consent, boundaries held as carefully as you hold space. Not therapy, not romance. Regulated nervous system energy in a staffed, hospitality-grade lounge.
- Provide consensual platonic cuddling, grounding hugs, and calm physical presence within Comen protocols
- Sit with members during focused work blocks; help them settle in before, during, and after sessions
- Maintain clear emotional and physical boundaries; keep closeness professional and unambiguous
- Follow consent, hygiene, safety, and escalation procedures at all times
- Contribute to a warm lounge environment without centering yourself in members’ experience
Profile
You may be a fit if
- Warm presence, polished communication, excellent boundaries
- Socially fluent; comfortable reading a room and body language
- At ease with platonic touch and proximity in a regulated, staffed setting
- Calm when things get awkward—no need to fill every silence
- Reliable part-time availability in or near SF; students and recent grads welcome
- Background in hospitality, wellness, caregiving, fitness, theater, or service is a plus
Reality check
Probably not a fit if
- You flirt, chase chemistry, or treat charged moments like an opening
- You confuse warmth with romantic or sexual availability
- Physical closeness tends to become about you, not the member’s safety
- You resist consent protocols or think “platonic” is negotiable
- You cannot stay regulated in emotionally intimate, professional contexts
